Leeds comic is headline star of new film which premieres in London tonight.

Celebrities will descend onto London’s West End tonight as Keith Lemon: The Film hits the big screen. Among the guests expected will be stars of the film: Verne Troyer, Kelly Brook, David Hasselhoff and Leeds' very own Chris Moyles. Waiting fans will of course be keen to see the main star of the film, Leigh Frances who is now know widely by his character name Keith Lemon.

The film is about Keith’s story from rags to riches which sees his life change when his invention of a phone with a lemon attached to it catapults him to success. The success even leads him to date model Kelly Brook who plays herself in the film.

Leeds born Frances first brought Lemon to the public's attention 12 years ago in television show_ ‘Whatever I Want’_ which also featured Frances fellow creation 'Avid Merrion'. Both characters went on to star in Channel 4's popular comedy Bo' Selecta! Since then Lemon moved to ITV and has become a familiar face of British television appearing on ‘This Morning’ as an agony aunt as well as hosting his very own Saturday night prime time entertainment show ‘Lemonaid’.

Lemon is probably mostly known for his hosting role on ITV2’s ‘Celebrity Juice’. The panel show premiered nearly four years ago in September 2008, since then it has gone on to air 84 episodes many including celebrities which cameo in the film such as Spice Girl Emma Bunton, television chief Gino D'Acampo and team captains Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton. Celebrity Juice received both a National Television Award for Most Popular Comedy Panel Show and BAFTA YouTube Audience award.

Will his first feature him bring him the same success? Only the audience can decide. The film is directed by Paul Angunawela and written by both Leigh Frances and Angunawela. It hits the screen on Friday 24thAugust and is expected to run until Thursday 13th September.
