Fran Prenger

A plumber from West Yorkshire who is locked up in a Greek jail has been tried and found guilty in his absence of possessing a firearm. Fran Prenger says he is a victim of identity theft and is fighting to clear his name after also being accused of carrying out dozens of bank raids. He is now serving a twelve month sentence in a Greek jail and has to pay a €1000 fine. The robberies he is accused of took place in Athens but he has never lived in the city. His wife Louise says she has paperwork which prove he was nowhere near Greece when the armed robberies took place.
