Another Golden postbox - this time in honour of Alistair Brownlee Credit: Calendar News

Gold medal winner Alistair Brownlee is being honoured in his home town of Horsforth. The Royal Mail will paint one of its red post boxes gold in celebration of Brownlee's win in the Men's Triathlon. There will also be a Gold Medal Stamp out today - on sale in over 500 Post Offices including one in neighbouring Pudsey.

It is the nineteenth Gold Medal stamp to be issued and will be delivered around the country in a fleet of 90 Post Office vans.
