Dr Who actress dies
Tributes have been paid to the Yorkshire-born Doctor Who actress Mary Tamm who has died at the age of sixty two. Mary, who was born and brought up in Bradford, was best know for playing the Doctor's companion Romana alongside Tom Baker. She had a long career on the big and small screen including roles in films such as The Odessa File as well as appearing alongside David Jason in ITV Yorkshire's popular comedy crime drama Diamond Geezer.
Tamm leaves husband Marcus Ringrose, daughter Lauren and seven-year-old grandson Max. She had been suffering from cancer for 18 months.
