Welcome home Jonathan Marray, the first British player to win the prestigious Wimbledon doubles trophy in 76 years.
The Lord Mayor of Sheffield is to host a special civic reception this evening for Wimbledon champion Jonathan Marray following his victory in the final of the Men's Doubles.
Jonathan, who lives and trains in Sheffield, is the first British player to win the prestigious trophy in 76 years. Now, Sheffield's very own champion tennis ace will be honoured with a reception in the Town Hall at 7pm tonight.
Jonathan, who won the final of the Men's Doubles at Wimbledon earlier this month, will be joined by approximately 60 friends, family, colleagues and civic dignitaries at the reception to celebrate his historic win.
