A well-known landmark between Newark and Lincoln has been reduced to rubble today after five cooling towers at the former High Marnham power station were demolished.

People travelled from all around the area to watch the explosions which echoed through the countryside. The High Marnham towers were brought down because the site is not being developed and they could become unsafe.
