Public sector strikes
Around 20,000 members of the PCS Union in Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire are expected to take part in a national strike along with other public sector unions. They are against the government's plans to change pension contributions. They say it will mean they pay more, work longer and get less in retirement. Staff from Jobcentres, Tax Offices, Courts, Immigration and Border Services and Ministry of Defence Establishment will be affected by the national walkout.
