The plans could mean hundreds of jobs are created Credit: Calendar

A £210 million development for a wind turbine plant in Hull will go before the city's planning committee.

The joint project between Associated British Ports and Siemens would see offshore wind turbines being made at Green Port Hull. The manufacturing site would be housed at Alexandra Dock and would see a regeneration of the area. The dockside location would also mean cargo could be exported. It is predicted at least 700 jobs would be created.
