Hundreds of workers from Remploy are heading to Westminster to protest against the planned closure of factories.

36 sites, which employ disabled workers, are due to close this summer with compulsory redundancies for more than 1700 staff. Factories in Leeds, Pontefract, Chesterfield and Worksop are among those affected. There are fears the remaining 18 factories would shut soon after.

Staff will be protesting outside the Department for Work and Pensions before marching to the House of Commons.
