Golden Miles Way in Derbyshire
A new walking route, designed by a fundraiser for sick children, will be officially launched today.
Five years ago Gillian Scotford created a walk through the Derbyshire countryside to raise awareness and funds for the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
A few years on, Gillian wrote and published a book about the walk, and the funds go to the hospice and to help her own children, who need specialist care.
The Peak District National Park have now agreed to Waymark the 35 mile route - this means it will have similar accreditation to walks like the Coast to Coast or the Pennine Way.
The launch of the newly Waymarked route is today.
