Snooker champ dons running shoes

Steve Davis preparing for the Sheffield half marathon

Six time snooker World Champion Steve Davis will be heading to Sheffield in May for the half marathon - for a very special cause.

He'll don his running shoes to raise money for the Paul Hunter Foundation. Paul was a three-time Masters champion before he died from leukaemia in 2006. He was just 27 years old.

His legacy lives on through the charity in his name, which gives children from all backgrounds an opportunity to play snooker.

Steve's not competing at the world championships at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre this week after losing in qualifying rounds - so now he's said all his attentions will go into training for the big run.
