Princess Anne to visit Bradford riding school
Princess Anne is visiting Bradford to open the new indoor arena at Throstle Nest Riding School. It has been built for the Riding for the Disabled Association group to continue having physical activity in bad weather. The riding school was able to pay for half the cost, but it has meant fundraising was necessary to pay for the rest. During 2011they raised over £50,000, including from the ASDA foundation. The work has also seen a new ramp and toilet and kitchen block built. During the visit the Princess will meet staff and volunteers and be treated to a riding display by disabled riders and members of the Pony Club.
