Yorkshire should 'feel proud', says Archbishop John Sentamu

Archbishop of York, John Sentamu pays tribute to the six soldiers killed in Afghanistan this week.

Archbishop of York, John Sentamu filmed a message of support to be played out on British Forces TV and said the people of Yorkshire should be very proud of the soldiers who've been killed. today he lit two candles in memory of the six soldiers that were killed 25 miles north of Lashkar Gah this week. He said their deaths were tragic but the Yorkshire Regiment is very professional - they are in Afghanistan with the mandate of the United Nations. The Archbishop said he hoped that the people of Yorkshire will turn out in force to show their support to their families. In due course he wants to vist the families to hear at first hand about the loved ones they've lost.
