Tributes paid after death of former Carlisle legend Ivor Broadis
Tributes have been paid to former England and Carlisle United footballer Ivor Broadis, who has died.
He was 96-years-old.
Born in 1922, the forward played for the Blues between 1946-1949 and then again between 1955 and 1959.
His former club tweeted a tribute to Broadis on Saturday.
After playing, Broadis took up a career as a football journalist which lasted for 45 years.
He was awarded the Freedom of the City of Carlisle in 2018.
