An investigation by Greek authorities into the death of a Dumfries woman in Crete 9 years ago has been shut down, her family has confirmed.

The body of Jean Hanlon was found in the sea near the island's main town. Her death was initially reported as a drowning but a second post mortem suggested she had injuries consistent with a struggle.

The case has now been "archived" by local authorities but her sons have vowed to carry on the fight to find out what happened.
