Motorcyclists face trial for speeding up to 130mph

Two motorcyclists are set to face trial next month on charges of riding their motorbikes at up to 130 miles an hour on the rural A713 Castle Douglas to Ayr Road between Parton and Dalry.

Arin Cirik, 27, of Walker Avenue, Troon, and 35-year- old Sean Reid, of Carrick Road, Ayr, pleaded not guilty at Dumfries Sheriff Court to separate charges of travelling at grossly excessive speeds in the face of obvious and potential dangers in April.
