Police warn against scam calls

Police in Cumbria are warning people to be aware of scam phone calls, after a number of cases in recent days.

Scammers are asking people who pick up the phone to press number one for further information.

They claim that if they do not, a debt and a court warrant will be obtained.

Police are advising people to terminate these calls.
