A major search and rescue operation continues, after a 43-year-old man fell into the River Nith last night.
Brian Cowie fell into the river near to the rowing club at Greensands at around 9.00pm last night.
A major search and rescue operation resumes this morning in Dumfries, after a person was spotted in River Nith last night.
Nith Inshore Rescue and other emergency services continued the search at 6.00am this morning, after standing down at 1.00am.
The search is focused on the Dock Park area of Dumfries.
