Soldiers return to Workington after 2009 floods

It was named Barker Crossing, after the policeman who died in the floods.

Soldiers who were involved in building a temporary footbridge in Workington after the floods of 2009 are returning to the town for the first time.

People were unable to cross the river for 18 days after all the bridges were either damaged or washed away.

It was named the Barker Crossing after the police officer who died in the floods.
