The aftermath of Nepal's earthquake continues to unfold around the world.

Some Cumbrian's have lost friends and family in the tragedy.

Others from our region who were there have described the devastating effects of the disaster and are calling for aid to be sent to help rebuild the country.

Watch: Border region's Nepalese community mourn after earthquake

Nepalese people in the Border region are still coming to terms with the devastating earthquake, which struck Nepal on Saturday.

There are an estimated 200 Nepalese people in Cumbria, and many of them have lost loved ones.

In Dumfries and Galloway, the ROKPA UK charity, based at Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre, have also had bad news.

The children's home they run in Nepal has been badly damaged, and the children are currently sleeping outside.

Greg Hoare has been to find out how communities in the region have been affected by the earthquake.
