More than forty years after services on the Waverley Line ended, the first train has returned to Galashiels as the line reaches the town.
More than forty years after services on the Waverley Line ended, the first train has returned to Galashiels as the line reaches the town.
The first train in over forty years arrived in Galashiels as the Borders Railway line reached the centre of the town.
Construction will continue over the next few months until the line reaches Tweedbank, where it will end.
It is is due to open on September 6
