Man dies from heart attack on Helvellyn

A man has died after having a heart attack at the top of a mountain in the Lake District.

The 64-year-old from Lincoln, who has not been named, collapsed at the peak of Helvellyn shortly after two o'clock yesterday afternoon (28th August).

Mountain rescue teams, the air ambulance and an RAF helicopter were called to help him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
