'Penrith pong' battle settled in court

A long-running legal battle over the so-called "Penrith pong" has finally been settled in court. Alba Proteins Limited, who run an animal rendering plant, at Wildriggs agreed a settlement with lawyers who represented 88 families from the area.

Locals unconvinced by 'Penrith Pong' plans

Alba Proteins has said it will cover its trailer park in an attempt to keep the smell contained as part of the 'Penrith Pong' settlement.

It's also said it will improve communication with those living nearby, in part by allowing two members of the community on to its liaison committee.
