The owners of an historic Cumbrian pub damaged in a fire say they will restore the seventeenth century building to its former glory and re-open.

50 people escaped the blaze at The Queen's Head Hotel at Troutbeck near Windermere last week. Large parts of the roof had completely caved in but most of the downstairs and bar area was saved.

The cause is still unknown.
