There were two changes at the Carlisle City Council elections. Labour won Castle from the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives took Dalston from the Independents.
Labour and the Conservatives have gained one seat each in the Carlisle City Council elections. Carlisle's Conservative MP John Stevenson told ITV Border it is difficult to extrapolate results from these elections into next year's general election.
