Labour and Conservatives gain in Carlisle City elections

There were only two changes at the Carlisle City Council elections. Labour won Castle from the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives took Dalston from the Independents. Labour now have 29 seats; the Conservatives 19; the Liberal Democrats and the Independents both have two seats.
