Spectators praise Carlisle rally

Spectators have been arriving from far and wide for the Pirelli rally in Carlisle.

Gordon Mutch and his uncle Leslie spent hours on the road travelling to the Kielder stages but have praised the rally and the drivers.

"We decided to come up for the rally to see the cars and drivers but it took ages to get here. We were lost and kept going round and round but it's all been worth it. The cars have been so good to watch it's definitely been worth the trip."

– Gordon Mutch, spectator

The rally cars returned to rally HQ at Brunton Park for a service and re-fuel, before heading out to repeat the morning's stages.

Drivers have it all to do again tomorrow, when they will tackle the stages around Kershope. To find out more about the rally, including where you can watch, click here.
