Moffat Chippy worker thought she was being awarded a BMW not a BEM!

90-year-old Bettina Dawson is being honoured with a British Empire Medal for services to the catering industry in Dumfries and Galloway.

She has been working at the Moffat Chippy since 1936 and still works six days a week.
