The high street in Castle Douglas is thriving despite others across the country experiencing a decline.
One local shop owner says it is because of what the shops have to offer.
"There are products in the shops in Castle Douglas that you wont see generally, you certainly wont see them in the multiple retailers, and that's what makes this, and other small towns like this unique."
