Shoppers help boost Castle Douglas hight street

The high street in Castle Douglas is thriving despite a recent study suggesting other towns in Scotland are declining.

A report by Local Data Company, working with Stirling University, has found that many high streets are in crisis while others are thriving.

Shoppers from across Scotland travel to the town to take advantage of the unique independent shops that line the streets.
