All of those injured in a crash near Kendal, believed to have been 20 people, have now left the scene of the crash at Grayrigg.
The collision involved a heavy goods lorry and a school bus, which was carrying passengers at the time, including school children aged between 13 and 16.
Police have confirmed that no children were seriously injured in the crash.
Three adult passengers have been taken to Lancaster Hospital for treatment for injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
The road will remain closed for the foreseeable future while collision and diversions are in place.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area at this time.
