Jacqueline Reid and Ruth McCartney, both from Selkirk, had to be cut free from the wreckage after a taxi and a tram crashed in Manchester. They were taken to hospital where Miss McCartney was found to have broken both collar bones and Miss Reid had suffered cuts and bruises.
The women, along with partners Neil Purves and Ryan Christie, were in Manchester for the Grillstock Festival. Both are now recovering and are expected to be released on Monday 10th June.
