Police Scotland officers are treating the unexplained death of a 54-year-old man as murder.
The body was found at a property on Gilbert Circle in Dumfries.
Police Scotland are appealing for any witnesses who may have any information to call 101 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
