The 25-year-old and his co-driver Kevin Rae, from Hawick, have already made history by becmong the first crew to win the Scottish and British Rally Championships simultaneously.
The pair are competing in the first round of the SRC on 16th February, where they will be debuting a new car- a Ford Focus World Rally Car.
He is exclusively unveiling his new ex-Colin McRae car to ITV Border today, with the hope that it will bring him as much luck as his old wheels.
David won six championships in his trusted red Mitsubishi Evo 9, but retired it at the end of the 2012 season.
