Former Carlisle Cathedral Canon Ronald Johns will appear in court for first time accused of string of sex crimes against four boys in Cumbria between 1979-1991.The 74 year old will appear at in front of Carlisle magistrates today.
Police have said the Diocese has fully co-operated with the Police during this investigation and they have set up a special helpline with the NSPCC 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, where independent, confidential and sensitive advice can be sought.
