Dr Flora Murray was born in Dumfries in 1869 then qualified as a doctor in 1905 and was awarded a CBE for her work and World War One medical efforts.

Three RBS branches in Cumbria are due to close. Two branches in Carlisle and one in Kendal are on a list announced by the bank.
