This week - January 17-23 - is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week and anyone who receives an invitation for a screening has been encouraged to book an appointment.

A petition started by a Borders campaigner who lost his wife to cervical cancer has been debated in parliament after reaching over 100,000 signatures.
