Moffat first town in Europe to secure Dark Sky status
Moffat has become the first in Europe to achieve the status of ‘Dark Sky Town’.
It has taken three years to be awarded the status by the International Dark Sky Association.
£240,000 has been spent changing lightbulbs in the town to reduce the amount of light pollution, making it easier to see the stars.
