The People's Millions: who got the most votes?

Winners from The People's Millions have been announced. But there's also a bonus prize and a runner up will get a cheque for £43,000.

This goes to A Heart for Duns and their bid to turn their old Volunteer Hall into a working theatre.

It's the time of year when ITV Border joins forces with the BIG Lottery Fund to offer up to £50,000 to projects which improve the lives of people in their neighbourhoods.

All this week, we've been featuring two projects going head to head in appealing for your votes and funding from money raised by the National Lottery for good causes. There'll also be a bonus award for the runner-up with the highest number of votes.

Well, last night we featured the last two groups - both from the Scottish Borders. They were:

Nomad Beat in Peebles is a music group and it's into Breaking Sound Barriers. It wants to be able to allow more people to play music - regardless of age or disability. It says music is therapeutic. It helps concentration and co-ordination and is great for team-building.

Meanwhile in Duns, a Heart for Duns wants to create a community theatre and cinema in the old volunteer hall. To put on a proper show, they need a proper stage - and some decent lighting equipment. It's a project they say that would further bring the town together.

The Heathlands City Project outside Carlisle want to be able to extend the services it offers to at-risk adults and those with disabilities. That means opening a place in Carlisle city centre - where they can offer more training and activities to disadvantaged people.

Windermere Replay, meanwhile, want to restore an old playground on the shores of Lake Windermere. This community group hopes to improve the environment here at Millerground - and give local children the chance to jump for joy in their new lakeside play area.

Every night until Wednesday, we're featuring two groups going head to head in appealing for your votes and funding from money raised by the National Lottery for good causes. There will also be a bonus award for the runner-up with the highest number of votes.

Last night we featured the first two groups. They were:

Gretna Community Sport want to provide more sporting facilities for young people locally. Football is one sure way of getting youngsters off that sofa and out on the field. But this group needs equipment and funding for buses, so they can travel to games.

Then there's Thornhill and the Wallace Hall Academy and they'd like to develop their local Whapples Orchard to create paths and landscape a muddy field - in short, they want to grow the place and make it a focal point for young and old in the community.

So, who managed to get the most votes last night? Fiona Armstrong is an old hand at the People's Millions.
