Next, to the man whose life has been saved not once but twice by the air ambulance. Farmer Jonathan Thwaites who lives near Penrith fell off a barn roof last month.
Meanwhile, an accident seven years ago left him with pelvic injuries so getting him to hospital fast was crucial. Today, he thanked the Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance crew. Kim Inglis reports.

A Cumbrian farmer and his family have been to meet the Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance team to thank them for saving his life twice.
Jonathan Thwaites who farms near Penrith fell off a barn roof last month and was airlifted to hospital. Seven years ago the air ambulance helped him when he was badly injured while herding sheep. Jonathan wants to highlight the importance of supporting the charity.

Farmer's life saved for second time by air ambulance
A Cumbrian farmer is meeting the Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance team to say thank you after they saved his life for a second time.
Jonathan Thwaites from Greenholme near Penrith fell 20 feet from a barn roof he was fixing in October. He had to be flown to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Seven years ago, the unlucky farmer came of a motorbike while herding sheep and suffered severe injuries which resulted in him being air lifted to hospital.
Now recovering well from his most recent injuries, Jonathan says he can't thank the air ambulance team enough and wants to highlight the importance of supporting the charity that is entirely funded by public donations.
