There are many weddings being held at Gretna Green's Famous Blacksmiths Shop today, to celebrate the special date of 12.12.12.

Couples tie the knot on 12.12.12
A record number of couples are getting married at Gretna Green, on the symbolic date of 12.12.12.
Twenty couples from across the country are heading to the famous wedding capital of Scotland to tie the knot.
Some astrologers believe that 12.12.12 is the last date of the Mayan calendar - the so-called end of the world as we know it.
However, Michelle Hall from the The Famous Blacksmith Shop said that the symbolic date had taken on a life of its own:
"Brides started calling us about two years ago asking us to reserve this date.
"We're at full capacity for weddings and the anvil will be busy from 9 o'clock in the morning to 6.30pm in the evening."
