Annan River rescue latest
Police are asking people in the Annan area to check the well being of vulnerable neighbours.
It comes after a person was apparently seen falling into the River Annan last night (November 25th) but there have been no reports of anyone missing in the area.
Police are also looking for witnesses.
Rescue search called off
A search for a person seen falling into the River Anan has been called off this evening.
34 volunteers and emergency service personel searched the riverbanks from the Solway Estuary to north of the River Bridge in Annan but nothing has been found.

River search continues
The Nith Inshore Rescue team and the RNLI have resumed their search of the river Annan.
They are focusing the search of the river banks between the Everholm area and the entrance to the Solway firth.

The search for a person reported to have fallen into the river Annan has resumed.
Reports of person fallen into river Annan
Dumfries and Galloway Police received a report last night (25th November), of a person seen falling into the river Annan, in the Everholm area, at around 6.30pm.
A search of the river was carried out by HM Coastguard, Nith Inshore Rescue, Moffat Mountain Rescue and the search and rescue helicopter.
Police say the river was very high and fast flowing at the time.
The search is due to resume at 10am today (26th November).
Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area of the River Annan near the Everholm on 25th November to get in touch.
