"It's a community spirit"

Hundreds of horses and riders have taken part in the annual Jethart Callant's Festival in Jedburgh.

The celebration, which is steeped in history and tradition, began in the town's market square this morning, where hundreds of people come to wave off the procession.

The ride mimics the riding of the boundaries to fend off unwanted visitors, and has been held in the town since 1947.
