A boy and a woman has been taken to hospital after a dog attack in Hawick
A child has been taken to hospital with facial injuries after being attacked by a dog in the Scottish Borders.
A four-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman were attacked from behind while walking by a brown and tan Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog on Wilson Drive, in Hawick, just after 3pm on 4 January 2025.
The boy and the woman who has also suffered arm injuries have both been taken to the Borders General Hospital for treatment.
The dog was last seen heading towards Chay Blyth Place. Police Scotland is appealing for any witnesses to the incident, or for any information that could help identify the dog owner.
