Motorists face more major delays on M6 after second incident on motorway

Motorists on the M6 have faced long delays after an HGV crashed near Clifton this morning.

The motorway remains closed northbound and currently operating with one lane closed southbound.

Motorists have experienced delays of up to two hours, with long delays still expected.

Diversions are currently in place northbound off at J39 onto the M6.

A second incident means the M6 is down to two lanes in both directions at J39 (Shap), causing yet more delays on the motorway.
