Covid-19 outbreaks close two hospital wards in the Scottish Borders

Covid-19 outbreaks have closed two hospital wards in the Scottish Borders.

Ward nine at the Borders General near Melrose and Hay Lodge Hospital in Peebles are shut to new admissions.

All but essential visiting is currently suspended in both facilities.

The area's NHS health board says restrictions will be kept under regular review.
