Part of river wall collapses in Dumfries

Part of the river wall along the River Nith in Dumfries has collapsed. 

The section opposite the Whitesands car park is several metres long. The area recently experienced flooding during heavy rain. 

People are advised to stay away from riverbanks where sections have fallen into the water. Water levels remain high and fast flowing.
