Railways

Northern's services in Cumbria have been disrupted today. Trains between Barrow-in-Furness and Carlisle have been suspended due to obstruction on the line at Drigg.

In addition, Avanti West Coast, Scotrail and Northern have reported disruption across the whole of their networks and have advised people not to travel today if they can avoid it.

Roads

The A590 Ulverston Road is closed in both directions due to an overturned lorry between The Green in Lindal and Seg Lane in Swarthmoor.

Ferries

Stena Line and P&O have cancelled some services between Cairnryan and Larne today. The company is urging people to check before attempting to travel today.

In the Lake District, the Windermere car ferry is not operating because of the weather conditions.
