Scientists are warning of the 'catastrophic effects' on some of Cumbria's lakes caused by heatwaves.

Data collected from 1,000 lakes around the world found a warming climate will make heatwaves more frequent and longer and are set to cause huge amounts of harm to their ecosystems - even wiping out some species.
