Body of a man found in Melmerby area

Police in Cumbria say the body of a man has been found in Eden Valley.

The man was discovered in the area of Melmerby, at 11:40am this morning (Aug 3).

 A formal identification has not yet taken place and police inquiries are ongoing.

Officers say the circumstances around the death are not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
